Rumsfeld calls Taiwan "A Sovereign Nation," White House Downplays

Ah, Rummy.  I gotta hand it to him for being a plain-speaking guy.  He apparenty recently referred to Taiwan as "a sovereign nation."

The White House is backpedaling, of course.
