I am supposed to be doing school-related work. I know, I know. I'm a Very Bad Grad Student! (But you all already knew that.)
But it is a sunny Saturday. Even worse, it's lunchtime and I am STARVING! I can't concentrate, and all I can think of is sushi. Seriously. All kinds of sushi and sashimi, with plenty of tempura too, but especially unagi. Beautiful unagi!
So I gave up looking at books and decided I'll blog a little now (and I'll pay for my studying-sin later when I'm up all night! As long as I do my Nerd Lords' bidding, I don't think they care when I do it).
Here's a fun little article about sushi addiction (the photo with it refers to a crazy trend in some places of serving sushi on top of live models -- doesn't it make you think of all those insane banquet orgies of the decadent old Roman emperors?), and you simply must see this loopy YouTube. It's in Japanese with English subtitles. Consider it a humorous lesson in Japanese sushi culture! The almost-ludicrous level of precision required even to enter a sushi shop through its curtain-door is unbelievable.
