Now that's what computer software technology is FOR, baby. Digital photos you aren't ashamed of. *Giggle.* And you know, I am part of the Asian stereotype of taking lots of photos, especially on vacation.
Take a look at the software used on a photo of the article's writer. Interesting! The effect is subtle but noticeable. Yes, I also would like to look fabulous in photos even if I don't have an entire army of cosmetics experts, stylists, and hairdressers hovering over me. (Listen, if we all had that army, we too would all look like supermodels. That, and if we never ate anything. Ever.)

Anyway, we can thank Tel Aviv University computer geeks for this new software (a little demo by them is here). Thanks, guys! (Seems like there are lots of cool computer geeks in Israel, no?)
Well, this software will be fun to use, but it also brings us back to one fundamental truth of representation and reality -- or, as one communications professor told my Sibling: "The camera ALWAYS lies." (And this not only to dishonest Reuters photographers using Photoshop!)
