Happy Birthday, Abe Lincoln

Here's a fact for all you  history buffs out there:  Abraham Lincoln was born on this day in 1809.

History now remembers him as a great American leader.  At the time of his presidency, though, he was widely reviled both at home and abroad.  History and contemporary perspectives are funny things indeed.
