Meet businessman Lee Myung Bak of the conservative Grand National Party, who won with a platform promising pro-business measures and economic growth. (Well, South Korea is squeezed between Japan and China.) He's also promising to take a tougher stance on North Korea and to mend ties between South Korea and the US.
Lee, though, is going to have some trouble; he comes to office with some negative associations with business scandals. Keep an eye on Seoul in future.
