Amusing World Cup Madness of the Day: England!

Hey, it's Day 2 of the World Soccer Frenzy, and this morning England is playing Paraguay -- or should I say, Beckham's foot is confronting the serried ranks of Paraguay's football warriors.  The English fans are going crazy, of course.

Anyway, I'm amusing myself with the English and British papers, and I can't help but note some interesting little editorials like this one in praise of Englishness.

My absolute favorite, though, has to be this title: "On balance, God is probably English."

*Giggle!*

There'll always be an England . . .?

UPDATE: And indeed it was Beckham's foot for a 1-0 England win.  I imagine there will plenty of alcohol spilled in the celebration.
